My wife and I were lucky enough to cross off one of our bucket list and go white water rafting down the Rio Grande. How exciting is that. My wife looked up the best adventure Company, and Far Flung Adventures were at the top of the list. Once we arrived, I totally understood why they were the best. They were super friendly and super outgoing. All the way to the front desk girl who was so nice to us. I am very sorry I’m not sure of her name because I would like to shout her out. She had red hair haha. We got in a van with a super fun young lady named Elyssa, we are lucky enough to have her as our guide as well. She was super fun and had tons of information about rafting, safety, the landscape, the rocks and the river itself. Thank you Elyssa for being so informative about everything. She wasn’t only fun to go down the river with, she was very safe and stressed the safety part of it very much with everybody that was on the boat. It was great to be out there with somebody who enjoyed her job as much as we are enjoying being out there as well. She had us popping wheelies and doing circles out in the middle of the river, which was super fun. We all got out and were able to enjoy the cool river. She taught one of our gentlemen who were with us on how to ride the bowl through the rapids, which was super fun to see. If anybody is looking to do a white water rafting trip Far-Flung is a great company to cross off a bucket list. Stay awesome you all rock!!!

This was our kids favorite activity we have done this summer! Christine was our guide and she was AMAZING! We had our 13, 11, and 9 year old and she had us going through the rapids like pros! She was great with the kids and let them get out and rock jump and swim/float! She was knowledgeable and full of information about the area's history and geology! We had so much fun and will definitely be back!

Awesome experience five stars!!! It was just a group of 2 of us, we rented two inner tubes for 4 hrs at 11am for about $37/each after tax. All the staff were very friendly and nice. Once we got there, Billy drove us to the drop off point, showed us how to use the tubes and lifejackets and dropped us off. We finished early with about 1.5 hrs left so we got in the shuttle and Billy drove us again and we did the whole float route for a 2nd time! We both really loved the experience and the river was extremely fun to float and relax. There were a few islands that we pulled off at throughout the route to just swim around which was cool! We bought a cheap dry bag on Amazon and brought a carabiner to hook it to the float and it just floated on the surface of the water along with us, really convenient for bringing sunscreen, our lunch and snacks, and keeping our phones dry. Next time we’d go a little early for the 9am float if we do the 4 hrs because it did get a little buggy with flys around 2:30/3pm! Overall awesome little day trip - we drove from ABQ, service was great and experience was so peaceful!!!

I did the 4-hour single-person kayak rental yesterday and had a blast! The folks running Far Flung Adventures are all so kind and fun while also being very professional and informative! I'd recommend Far Flung to folks in the area, looking for a fun adventure!

Went for a half day ride with 4 adults and 2 small children 6 and 3. The river was perfect for those ages with a few small rapids and some shallow areas to walk in. Christine was our guide and she was phenomenal. She was laid back, knowledgeable, and helped the kids and adults have a fantastic fun experience. Highly recommend.

Christine is one of the most awesome people we've ever met! Spending time with her was an absolute blast, and she truly made our experience unforgettable. On the river, she is a total expert, but it's her sense of humour that really makes the trip special. She also gave us some great local recommendations. The rafting was both fun and scenic, with plenty to learn along the way. If you're in Taos, don't hesitate to book a trip— and definitely ask for Christine!

In our third trip with Far Flung Adventures we did the full day Middle Box! The 1.2 mile hike with gear hauled by donkeys made this trip a must do. Our guides Bobby and Nick shared knowledge about the area and made the day great for our family.
We’ve previously had great experiences with Far Flung on Racecourse when our kids were younger.
